• Security and reliability

At Covisp.net we are dedicated to providing you email services as free from spam as possible through an aggressive combination of blacklists, spam blocking rules, and constant vigilant maintenance.

Access to your domain via WebDAV ensures that you have complete control over your website. We also provide php and perl with all domains.

Virtual Users now have better Spam protection (mail suspected of being spam will arrive in a SPAM mailbox, no mail will ever be deleted) and will soon have access to procmail. Also, virtual users can now use 'address extensions'.

How this works is if your email is, for example, 'sales@mydomain.tld' and you tell someone to send you email at sales+mike@mydomain.tld, it will automatically be placed in a mailbox named 'mike' for you, presorted. Since some Websites are broken about the '+' character, you can also use the '_' (that's underscore, not dash) to designate an address extension.

03:01 15 Jul 2008 Some new anti-spam measures in place today should help eliminate a good chunk of spam messages that were getting through the greylist and RBLs. Remember, if you're using a secure email account, check your SPAM folder for any false positives. As always, no email that is accepted will ever be automatically deleted by the server. We will MANUALLY clear SPAM folders if the contents in them are over 30 days.
08:56 30 May 2008 The servers have been moved to a new IP range. If you are using the old DNS servers or using IP addresses for the mail server, you will need to change these settings. The new DNS server addresses are 75.148.117.92 and 75.148.117.93, the mail server remaind mail.covisp.net and all services appear to be running.
07:29 03 Apr 2008 For a few hours yesterday the secure squirrelmail was accidently pointing to the new RoundCube install. This has been fixed, and both RoundCube and Squirrelmail are available to all secure (user@domain.tld) IMAP users.
18:16 01 Apr 2008 A new backup scheme is in place that backs up the entire system every six hours and keeps complete archives for a full month. If you need to recover a file, or an email, that was deleted please Contact Us for details.
06:07 01 Jul 2007 Due to a rather catastrophic failure of one of our hard drives, and it being a Sunday, the webserver was down for several hours. Backups where restored and other services where not interupted. While we were down, we went ahead and upgraded the web server to Apache 2.2.4.
03:23 03 Feb 2006 While upgrading some software a new self-signed SSL key was generated. Please go to This page and choose "XP SSL Certificate", "Mac OS X", or "Mozilla/Thunderbird".
